FAQ

Masonry questions

Can you match my existing brick?+
We look for a close match in size, color and texture. An exact match is not always possible with older brick; we will show you options.
Natural stone or manufactured stone?+
Natural stone is heavier and varies more; manufactured stone is lighter and more uniform. We can show both.
Repair or rebuild my steps?+
Loose treads and joints can often be repaired; steps that have settled or pulled away from the house usually need rebuilding. We will tell you which after a look.
What is repointing?+
Removing deteriorated mortar from the joints and replacing it with new mortar, so the wall sheds water again.
