FAQ

Hardscape questions

How deep is the base under a paver patio?+
It depends on soil and use. Patios and walkways usually need several inches of compacted base. We follow the manufacturer's guidelines for your paver.
Are pavers strong enough for a driveway?+
Yes, when you use pavers rated for vehicles on a base built for that load.
Why do retaining walls fail?+
Most often water. Without drainage stone and a pipe behind the wall, water pressure builds up and pushes the wall.
Can you add a seat wall to my existing patio?+
Often yes, if the base can support it. We check first.
